Tips to Increase Mind Power - Part - 1

Tips to Increase Mind Power

Dear Readers,

Greetings of the day!

Let me today discuss with you some of the tips, if you use in your daily schedule will certainly increase your mind power’

I request you to please don't look down with disrespect at anybody. Looking down is no achievement, it requires no skill. The only thing it gives is an acid-filled mind and a stiff painful neck.  Learn to look up. There's generosity there. It's a beautiful exercise too. Not only the throat and neck-muscles get a wonderful stretch, but it also helps the double chin gets ironed out.

You may ask me why this talk of looking up? Well, you know that many of us, who are well-settled in life often, become self-satisfied and sort of dead and empty. We feel flat with no sparkle in our life. Energy dips, enthusiasm… what's that??

Wouldn’t you agree that it's frightening, like being in a psychological paralysis. The situation may bring Scorn, pessimism, and spiral out of this fear. I'm in a bad state, and I want to see others in a bad state too — such currents weave insidiously in a mind that has become progressively smaller and narrower in scope and lost its great ability to wonder.

Now just examine your thoughts and you'll find this phrase repeating itself: ‘I have to'. I have to go to work today. I have to pick up the kids. I have to finish this evaluation. I have to submit this report. I have to go to market to buy this and that and so on and so forth.

‘I have to' hangs like devil's sword over our head. The threat is implicit. Every time I think I have to, there is a corresponding ‘or else' lurking below the surface. After some time, that word of ‘or else' eats away confidence, self-esteem, liveliness and causes depression amongst majority of us.

It leads us to think that, we don't want the ‘or else' vapour in our mind that constantly kicks up cortisol's stressful dust in our body. So, the question comes, what to do.

Now is the time to think smart. Drop the ‘I have to' and usher in the more amicable ‘I could'. I could go to work today. I could pick up the kids. I could finish this evaluation. I could go to market. I could bring some refreshments for my near and dear ones sitting at home. I could go for a walk, before the night etc. You will start feeling relaxed, because there is no choice ‘not to'. How liberating it is to be doing everything voluntarily. We feel in control, breathe easier and do our duties without self-pressure. We even bear some indignities with dignity.

Now, I would suggest you to do practice with the words “I could” in place of “I have to” for some days, before I take you to next steps.

Keep reading as I would be sharing with you more steps to increase your mind power.

May the Almighty be with you and bless you with Blissful Joy and Happiness.
